My name is Penelope Hart.   I do love life!
I was born in North Wales many moons ago, on a farm, the eldest of seven children.
Having dreamed of an exciting life, I went off and lived it.
And continue to live a very exciting life.

A little about my past -  My first career was in London, in journalism. Then in L A I was a motion picture researcher out of MGM, on hundreds of movies, (whilst writing magazine features on movie stars for British publications.)

In Rome, where I married and divorced, teaching business people English (TEFL)  paid the bills of bringing up our two wonderful sons.

Writing is my gift and passion.  I'm a published poet and culinary columnist. Two plays that I wrote were staged in British theaters!  Having graduated from Goldsmiths University with a MA in Scriptwriting recently, I have also written two screenplays.

I recently recovered from a serious illness, which makes living so precious.

And today - with my companion Sergio of 24 years we run a small bed and breakfast business from our farmhouse in Tuscany, a paradise.

I'm enjoying writing for Hub Pages, sharing what I've learned and what I know about where we live in Southern Tuscany; how we live, what we eat, where and how we get our wonderful food. 

Also about the people here, fun things to do on the land, on the sea, the Maremma culture,  describe its beautiful soul.

Sometimes I get to visit with my adult sons and little grand daughter who dreams of her exciting life, who tells me so many fantastic stories.
