How do you stay on top of all your passwords?
Where do you store them? How? Do you use an App? Which one?
How does it work for you?
I rely on old fashioned pen and paper. Simply because, if I lose access to my device, or my computer gets hacked, an app would give a would be cyber criminal allll the information to go ahead and steal all of my information.I know people say you shouldn't write them down, but I do.
I keep a notebook, which isn't particularly conspicuous, and I have all of my username and passwords noted, in order of type. Only really I know about it, and I haven't wrote "passwords" or anything like that on the front. Unless someone was very determined, they wouldn't find the book. I just keep updating the book whenever I sign up for a website, no matter how useless I think it may be...
You can maintain same password for all places, except by inserting two letters of that website.
Ex: AbcXX123 is your password .
Where XX will be hp for hubpages. Like this you can have different passwords with easy to remember.
I am also old fashion when it comes to storing my passwords. I use a small notebook for all my different passwords. I can't trust the computer for keeping my passwords. Besides if I forget them it is easy to find without having to remember my password to get into my computer to get or find my other passwords. Writing it down works for me best. I will stick to the old fashion way.
I use a service called LastPass. Keeps all my passwords encrypted, and can generate strong passwords for me that I don't have to even memorize, as the browser extension fills it in for me. Only password I have to know is the one for LastPass itself.
Good service, you should try it.
I'm in the group with the people who keep them all in a notebook. I list the site, what it's for, my username, and the password. A couple people in my family know where I keep it. Not only does this help me when I forget one, they can also access it if something happens and I can't get on a computer for a while. I learned a valuable lesson when my mom had a stroke some years ago and my dad couldn't get into some of the more important internet accounts because he didn't know the passwords.
Thank you for sharing that valuable lesson. It's important therefore to let someone you trust know where the passwords are.
I have worried about this happening myself. I have been wondering how I would handle this, good thinking.
I write them done, but password drive me crazy! This company and that say change your password, don't use the same on for multiple place.!!!! I just wish we could us our fingerprint.
I used the free version of LastPass until recently. I paid for the pro version because of the additional sync features amongst all my devices. 1Password is another password manager that has received good reviews.
I am a geek so I made up a system with three passwords!
Accounts I don't care about get my "I don't care if it get's hacked" super simple to remember password. These are if I am signing up for some quick junk service.
Accounts I care about, usually with fiscal information, get me hard to hack password, which has the year at the end. Every year I update the year at the end. If I hear about a security breach I may update the numbers as well. This requires a short list of where this password is used, which I keep in my email.
Finally, I have a crazy bizarre awesome one-time only password for my email. Since email is where I store everything, I made sure this one had the best password.

Okay, so I need some advice. How do you remember your email address? LOLI disappeared because I could not remember my email address and I JUST recently happened to run into someone who had it written down. Anyway, I'm horrible at remembering things, even if I write them down. I lose EVERYTHING,...

How do dyslexics remember passwords? This is a genuine question, not meant to be insulting. If someone has problems with letters and numbers, how do they manage passwords?
